Career Summary: 

Mr. Sandlin has over 10 years professional experience performing a variety of stormwater, water quality, dredge reuse/disposal studies, as well as geologic projects throughout central and northern California for federal, state and local government agencies. His water quality monitoring experience includes lead roles for National Pollutant Discharge Elimination System (NPDES) Phase I and II stormwater field investigations, surface water quality studies, receiving water quality sampling, groundwater, wastewater, hazardous waste and sediment characterization projects. Clients have included governmental and private sectors, including California Department of Transportation (Caltrans), U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE), U.S. Air Force, San Francisco Bay Area municipalities, and a Native American tribe.

Mr. Sandlin’s responsibilities include: compilation and management of field data; performance of hydrological and geological evaluations; monitoring site selection; design, configuration, installation, operation and maintenance of remote automated composite and discrete monitoring and sampling equipment; design, configuration, installation and operation of stream rating equipment; supervision of soil cement column installation; sample handling/processing and quality assurance and quality control (QA/QC) oversight for dredge materials use and disposal studies. His project experience includes: a specialized rain water infiltration investigation to a municipal sewer system; Geographical Information System (GIS) based and geological mapping techniques and associated ground-truth verification; a groundwater monitoring well installation and abandonment program; and participation in several empirical water quality BMP efficacy studies.
